Description
We are looking for a Mid-level TS/SCI cleared Human Geographer to join our team. This work requires staff to perform human geography production to support the government in its efforts to develop and maintain the International Program for Human Geography (IPHG) including Quality Assurance and facilitation of training activities as it relates to this support. Staff must have demonstrated ability to operate in a high-tempo environment, be adaptable and team-oriented, be committed to delivering timely and accurate GEOINT, and exhibit professionalism.
Duties:
- Office of Geography-Human Geography Division (SFGG) provides a broad array of Human Geography products to customers throughout NGA, IC, NSG, and ASG. These customers rely on the accurate and timely delivery of these products to support policy decisions and mission planning and execution.
- The Government seeks support for operations to the GEO INT enterprise. National System for Geospatial Intelligence Operations Executive (NOX) levied requirements and formal requests (RFI' s) for geospatial data.
- The Contractor shall use an understanding of geography, research, GIS, and data conflation and management skills to produce the broad array of human geography products including attributed data, maps, including written reports. Production phases for HG projects and products may include research, discovery, evaluation, extraction, creation, geo-enabling, quality control/review, metadata attribution, source citation, service enabling and dissemination.
- Support the government in its efforts to further develop and maintain the International Program for Human Geography (IPHG) including facilitation of Quality Assurance, training activities, technical and geospatial support at Plenary and Technical meetings.
- Provide geospatial analysis support services to NGA's IPHG and International Activities (bilateral and multi-national partnerships).
- Support NGA as a Human Geography Subject Matter Expert (SME) during international meetings as specified by the Government.
- Work with Government counterparts in Source and International Affairs to acquire and disseminate Human Geography data.
- Post co-produced Human Geography data to NSG data storage and dissemination solutions such as the AP AN and PiX.
- Support efforts to identify potential sources of information and tools that may enhance Human Geography community awareness and sharing across the IC community, DoD, and the Civilian Agencies.
- The Contractor shall participate in technical exchanges with Government, partners, and contract personnel located at their site and virtually around the globe. The technical exchanges will focus on Human Geography production to NGA/ IPHG standards and feature extraction/attribution issues related to Human Geography production. Maintain staff to support the creation and development of Human Geography products.
- Enabling activities in support of Human Geography production (i.e. writing SOPs and how to guides, training coworkers, etc.)
- Ensure a current and accurate International Trade in Arms Regulations (IT AR) exemption is in effect for all requested support involving partner interaction.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of demonstrated experience supporting DoD or the IC' s GEOINT Mission.
- Knowledge of Human Geography concepts.
- Experience in the research, discovery and extraction of geospatial and non-geospatial information.
- Experience in imagery research, extraction and attribution.
- Proficiency in use of fundamental ArcGIS Pro software tools in the creation, attribution, schema development and utilization, management, and geo-referencing of data.
- Experience in geo-enabling non-spatial data.
- Demonstrated experience to communicate GEOINT products, data, and services to peers and leadership.
- Knowledge of the regional, cultural and political geography of the region assigned.
- Experience in using established cartographic principles, geo-referencing, and naming conventions/Romanization in the creation of geo-spatial products.
- Experience in creating and publishing GEOINT products.
- Working knowledge of at least one of the foreign languages of the assigned region.
- Experience producing data and products to NGA standards.
- Experience with open source data harvest, process automation and scripting.
- Experience with data management, schema development, and data conflation.
- Experience with Google Earth Engine (GEE).
- Proficiency in Basic Python Scripting.
Security Clearance Requirement:
- Active TS/SCI, must be willing to take a CI poly
Travel: A minimum of one international TDY per year is required and may require as many as two per year.
Salary Range: $109,300+ based on your ability to meet and exceed stated requirements.
